Mary Jane (Haynes) Freimark, 88, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home, Hot Springs, South Dakota.

Mary Jane was born on November 3, 1935 to Mabel and Calvin Haynes at Aniston, Alabama. At the age of 2 months the Haynes family moved to Los Angeles, California. She married Oliver Freimark in 1953 and moved to the Freimark family farm in Eureka, SD. Together they raised two daughters; Donna Marie and Debra Sue.

She is preceded in death by her husband Oliver; parents, Mabel and Calvin Haynes; sister, Nettie Sue Haynes; and daughter, Debra Smith.

Mary Jane is survived by daughter, Donna (Lyle) Hartshorn; grandchildren, Darrell (Mona) and Christopher Smith, Travis (Jennifer), Lucas (Amy), and Tanya Hartshorn, Wendy (Jeff) Roeh; great grandchildren, David, Jacob, Lena, and Hanna Hartshorn, Trevor, Levi, and Kamila Hartshorn, Lynn, Clayton, and Rylie Smith, Karlee Gibbins; great great grandchildren, Clinton and Carter Gibbins; brothers, Jim Haynes, Dave Garrett, and sister, Patsy Haynes.
